A sincere welcome to everyone visiting
the President Park Chung Hee Historical Museum.
Hello. Thank you for visiting the website of the President Park Chung Hee Historical Museum.
Gumi-si is a beautiful city where the Nakdonggang River flows through the center of the downtown area, home to Mt. Geumosan, Korea's first provincial park, as well as the birthplace of President Park Chung Hee and the largest inland industrial complex in the Republic of Korea.
Opened on September 28, 2021, the President Park Chung Hee Historical Museum collects, stores, and manages the President's belongings and materials related to the creation of the Gumi Industrial Complex. It consists of a Permanent Exhibition Hall that systematically exhibits the process of Korea's modernization and Gumi's industrial development, a Special Exhibition Hall, a seminar room with 162 seats, and an archive room for material searches.
We believe this will be a place for the elderly to feel nostalgia for the era they lived through, and an educational venue for future generations to learn about the modernization and industrialization process of the Republic of Korea.
The Historical Museum is surrounded by the birthplace of President Park Chung Hee, the National Prosperity Hall, the statue of President Park, and the Saemaul Undong Theme Park. We will do our best to ensure precious memories and a comfortable viewing experience for all visitors.
Thank you.
Director of President Park Chung Hee Historical Museum
