Introduction
- This is the house where Park Chung Hee (1917–1979), who served as the 5th to 9th President of the Republic of Korea, lived from his birth until his graduation from Daegu Normal School in 1937. Within the birthplace grounds, there are the main building (Anchae), the guest house (Sarangchae), and a memorial altar installed in 1979. At the time of construction, the main building was a thatched-roof house, but it was renovated to its current form in 1964.
